Today's stitch is called the decorative crochet column stitch and is very interesting. It comes under the umbrella of a fabric stitches and as so has a rather consistent texture even if, this stitch in particular, is made lighter by the empty spaces that give it a certain delicacy. We are avid admirers of this stitch because, looking at it closely, it's reminiscent of a silent and magnificent cloisters with columns that are found at the centre of monasteries and convents. With their long shadows that move silently in the corridors and between the arches.
The yarn chosen for the crochet column stitch is Cleopatra in cotton and linen, ideal for an elaborate stitch like this. On the shop you can find many other beautiful colors.
Now let's get going.
