Easter DIY - Agnese and Silvia's Place Settings

Easter DIY: the placeholder

The Easter Bunny placeholder project was a great success and we cannot but be happy about it. Both the video and the photo tutorial were followed by many people, even though, as we expected, the more expert in the audience were a bit surprised by the use of hot glue instead of sophisticated stitching. Also, the needle felt purists wondered why we would choose to do a project mixing a beautiful 14.5 micron to thermoformable felt.

The reason is that we try to address a rather diverse audience, composed of people with different styles, taste, and skills. That is why DHG’s DIY projects are going to mix different materials and techniques more and more often. As Woody Allen, one of my favorite directors, would say, “Whatever works”!

The DIY video tutorials of the One Minute Felt” series are meant to present quick projects, that would work even for someone who has got very little time. Therefore, we welcome any tricks to save time and help even the beginners to make something they will love.

Agnese and Silvia’s place setting

We are extremely happy even to just give you inspiration for your own different and personalized projects. In fact, we are happy even when you have someone else do the DIY project for you. This is exactly what happened with Agnese and Silvia, who are always extremely busy and thought they’d let Assunta realize all the pieces to make their Easter table fabulous.

That is how the new cupcakes were born. These are intentionally made without an Easter bunny, so Agnese and Silvia will also be able to use them for other occasions. In addition, Assunta has also made matching underplates and napkin holders.

We absolutely love the result. DIY or not, Easter or not, it doesn’t matter. It works!
