Tutorial: how to knit an openwork cardigan

Have you ever thought about knitting a cardigan using cotton tape? If your answer is no, well then, read on and be ready to have a change of heart.

In fact, the pattern that we are presenting to you today is an openwork cardigan. Long, oversized and therefore with a loose fit. It is fun to knit, using large needles of 15 mm. With a game played of full and empty spaces. A game of points that gives the garment lightness, but also substance.

It is knitted flat from the bottom up in a single piece up to the underarm, then we continue with three separate parts, two pieces at front and one piece at the back. The sleeves are instead taken in the round and worked from the shoulder to the cuff. It is enjoyable and quick to make.

Perfect over a t-shirt and long skirt, as seen here. But we can also see it being worn over a slim-fitting suit. Or even with a pair of shorts.

The 100% cotton Stromboli tape renders the piece truly original and pleasant to wear.
