Tutorial: how to make a sparkly necklace

We’re now onto our second Charleston-themed pattern which is the most dazzling of our yarns. We’re going to learn how to create a crochet necklace that has super long fringes and reminds us a bit of the waves of the evening sea. Maybe it’s for this reason we decided to make it in blue, but you’re welcome to choose any other colour, perhaps to tone it down and have it as “daywear”. Take a look at the entire range of colours. They're all absolutely stunning!

METHOD
First of all, create the body of the necklace following the chart below. We’ve used 2 colours to make it easier to see the rounds.

Now you can go ahead and create the fringes. Cut 48 strands about 1-1.5 m long to make each fringe which is made up of 2 strands.
Starting from the centre, place the same number of fringes on the left and the right (12 on the left and 12 on the right)
Start intertwining with some of the knots in a way that a point is formed in the centre.
Cut the fringes to the preferred length.

Finishing off
The necklace is held around the neck by 2 buttons, which are simple double knots made using the yarn and tied directly onto the necklace.
