I shouldn’t say this but Cyrcus is definitely my favourite yarn amongst the new DHG yarns. That’s why, aswell as using it to make the pom pom hat, I also chose it for a really unique garment: a soft and cosy cardigan, almost like a cloud. A simple and no-frills cardigan with which I have played with colours and tones.
Do you fancy making one? Just follow my pointers! I’ll warn you though, you will need a bit of patience because there are many colour changes, but it will be so worth it.

KNIT-CROCHET STITCHES USED
Stockinette stitch
This is by alternating a knit row on the odd rows and a purl stitch on the even rows.
Rib 1x1
This is by working a knit row and a purl one.
Useful tips
With the stockinette stitch never work the first stitch which should only be passed on the right needle and always knit stitch the last one. The result will give a neat and clean selvedge. When you change colours in the lines, tie together the new combination with the previous one leaving the threads long enough in order to clean up the work better at the end.

Before sewing and putting together the pieces to make up the cardigan, tidy up the selvedges from the threads of the colour changes like this: put a crochet hook or a knitting needle along the stitches on the edge and then cut the excess.
Sew the shoulders joining the front and back.
Sew the sleeves making sure not to tug the thread of the seam too tight to avoid losing elasticity of the underarm seam.
Sew the sleeves starting from the wrist until you get to the side. Repeat on both sides.
Sew the front hem and also here making sure not to tug the thread of the seam too tightly.
The cardigan is ready!

And apparently it's irresistible, as our model, Damiano couldn't help wearing it, even if it's a bit too small for him. At the very least, like a true gentleman, he let Giuditta have the poncho. If it has the same effect on your man, I hope he is just as much a gentleman!
