Description
Coco is a yarn inspired by the iconic Chanel aesthetic (hence the name). Just like the famous fabrics used by the legendary designer, Coco combines a mix of diverse elements: a metallic thread for light effects, mohair for softness and texture, and viscose as the perfect binding agent. The result is original, luxurious, and unique.
Techniques
Coco works best with larger needles or crochet hooks, ideally around size 6/6.5, or even 7 for more pronounced relief patterns. The surfaces created are soft, compact, and regular, maintaining shape both during and after working. It's also suitable for weaving and embroidery projects.
When worn close to the skin, the yarn may have a slight itch, making it more suited for outerwear and accessories.
Tips
With knitting: stockinette stitch stays flat, though it might curl slightly at the edges, but not enough to cause issues. The flatness of the work makes joining pieces easier. Ribbing is also highly recommended to add texture.
With crochet: in addition to single crochet, you can use taller stitches as the yarn handles multiple loops well, though it’s best not to go beyond double crochet for optimal results.
