Hello, enthusiasts of handmade sweaters! Today we are going to learn to knit one particularly rich and elaborate. We are talking about a men's sweater, with a high collar and a chain motif that we see both on the front and on the sleeves.
Thanks to the Piuma yarn in pure merino wool, the sweater is enveloping and very soft. It can be worn both with a nice pair of dark wash jeans, or also on a pair of smooth velvet trousers.
We have selected the Raspberry colour, but you can choose from many other shades, just hop over to the shop.

MATERIALS
Piuma yarn col. Raspberry 700 g / 24.7 oz
Knitting Needles n° 6 EU / 10 US
Knitting Needles n° 8 EU / 11 US
GAUGE
10 cm x 10 cm / 4" x 4"
10 stitches x 14 rounds
STITCHES USED
Rib 1/1:
knit 1 and purl 1
Stockinette stitch:
knit 1 row and purl 1 row
Double Weave Motif:
round 1: purl 2, knit 6, finished with purl 2
round 2 and all even rounds: work the stitches as they appear
round 3: * purl 2 and knit 2 *, repeat the entire row and finish with purl 2
round 5: purl 3 stitches on, a double braid, put 4 stitches hanging on an auxiliary needle. On the wrong side. Knit 2 stitches, on the needle reposition the 2 stitches to the left of the auxiliary needle and knit. Meanwhile, the last two stitches are kept on the wrong side. Knit to 41 cm / 16.1", close 2 stitches on each side.
Continue up to 60 cm / 23.6" and knit the neckline.
Weave 16 central stitches, 1 stitch on each side 3 times.
At 65 cm / 25.6" total close the shoulders.
With n° 6 EU / 10 US needles cast on 62 stitches and continue in rib 1/1 for 5 cm / 2 ".
Change needles and knit in stockinette stitch, effectuating 10 increases on the first round. Work up to 41 cm / 16.1", close 2 stitches on each side.
Continue up to 60 cm / 23.6" and knit the neckline.
Weave 16 central stitches, 1 stitch on each side 3 times.
At 65 cm / 25.6" total close the shoulders.
With n° 6 EU / 10 US needles cast on 30 stitches for 6 cm / 2.4".
Change the needles to n° 8 EU / 11 US, continue with the double weave motifs, effectuating 12 increases during the first row.
There should be 4 central motifs and 8 purl stitches per side.
Continue by increasing 1 stitch every 6 rounds 8 times.
At 50 cm / 19.7" in total height, close all the stitches.
At this point simply to sew the sides and in the at the same time, the right shoulder.
Close the sleeves.
Take up the stitches around the neckline and knit 1/1 rib with needles n° 6 EU / 10 US for 10 cm / 4 ". Close all the stitches.
Close the left shoulder and the neckline.
Attach the sleeves.
