INSTRUCTIONS
The sleeveless tank top is worked flat and consists of two pieces: the back and the front. The neckline and armhole edges are finished separately using crochet.

With knitting needles n° 6.5 EU / 10½ US, cast on 51 (55, 61) stitches.
Row 1: repeat (1 purl stitch, 1 knit stitch) until the last stitch, purl the last stitch
row 2: knit the first stitch, then repeat (1 purl stitch, 1 knit stitch) to the end of the row.
Rows 1 and 2 establish the 1/1 rib pattern for the bottom edge. Repeat these rows 2 more times to reach row 6, measuring 2.5 cm / 1".
Row 7: knit 8 (9, 9) stitches, repeat (1 knit stitch, 1 purl stitch) 3 (3, 4) times, knit 7 (8, 9) stitches, repeat (1 knit stitch, 1 purl stitch) 4 times, knit 7 (8, 9) stitches, repeat (1 knit stitch, 1 purl stitch) 3 (3, 4) times, knit 9 (10, 10) stitches
row 8: purl 8 (9, 9) stitches, repeat (1 knit stitch, 1 purl stitch) 3 (3, 4) times, knit 1 stitch, purl 6 (7, 8) stitches, repeat (1 knit stitch, 1 purl stitch) 4 times, knit 1 stitch, purl 6 (7, 8) stitches, repeat (1 knit stitch, 1 purl stitch) 3 (3, 4) times, knit 1 stitch, purl 8 (9, 9) stitches.
Rows 7 and 8 establish the stockinette and seed stitch pattern. Repeat these rows 32 (34, 36) more times until reaching row 72 (76, 80), measuring 43 (45, 47) cm / 17" (17.7", 18.5") from the 1/1 rib edge.

Now, keeping the same stitch distribution, shape the neckline:
row 73 (77, 81): knit the first 12 (13, 15) stitches, bind off the next 27 (29, 31) stitches for the neckline, knit the last 12 (13, 15) stitches
row 74 (78, 82): work across the 12 (13, 15) stitches on the second side. Continue working only on this side, leaving the stitches of the first side on a stitch holder
row 75 (79, 83): bind off 2 stitches for the neckline, knit the remaining stitches to the end of the row
row 76 (80, 84): work across the remaining stitches.
Bind off.
Resume working on the stitches of the first side and repeat the same steps, mirroring the shaping.

Work the front exactly the same as the back.
Use mattress stitch to sew all seams invisibly. Sew the shoulder seams. Close the side seams 29 (30, 31) cm / 11.4" (12", 12.2") from the bottom up.
Using a crochet hook n° 6 EU / J-10 US, finish the neckline and armholes with one round of reverse single crochet (crab stitch).
