METHOD
It’s done on a number of stitches in multiples of 6+3.
Row 1 and 7: *knit 3 and purl 3*, always repeat from * to *, knit 3 to finish off
row 2 and 8: purl 3, * knit 3 and purl 3*, always repeat from * to *
row 3 and 5: knit 3 and slip 3 purlwise TO (slip 3 purlwise without working them, keeping the thread at the front of the work)*, always repeat from * to *, knit 3
row 4 and 6: purl 3, *slip 3 purlwise TO and purl 3*, always repeat from * to *
row 9: repeat from the first row.
Repeat from * to * for all the row and finish off with the stitches that come after the second asterisk.
