How to knit the Rectangular Garter stitch

Today we’re going to learn how to knit the Rectangular Garter stitch together. A knit stitch that’s perfect for those looking for a jumper or a scarf and why not, with over-the-top chunkiness too! Its structure of full and empty spaces gives the finished piece a nice soft and voluminous texture. The yarn that has been used is Piuma in the Shibori print. It’s done on a number of stitches in multiples of 6.

Row 1: knit this row and all the other odd rows

rows 2 - 4 - 6 - 8 - 10 - 12: *knit 3 and purl 3*, repeat always from * to *

rows 14 - 16 - 18 - 20 - 22 - 24: *purl 3 and knit 3*, repeat always from * to *

row 25: repeat from row 1.

Repeat always from * to *.
