Today we are going to learn how to make a garment that is truly beautiful. It is a colour blended crop cardigan with sleeves in relief. The garment has a long colour blend created with 4 harmonic colours, using a more voluminous yarn, our Sierra, as the base colour giving structure to the cardigan. And with a thin yarn, our Fluffy, which begins from the bottom with darker colours up to white which lightens the garment and brightens its appearance.
The cardigan is crop, therefore short. It can be worn both with slim-fitting cloths and high-waisted trousers. The sleeves, very large, create a 3D effect, giving the garment elegance and vigour at the same time!
We have chosen this colour palette, however, you can have fun experimenting and creating your own. In fact, on the site you can find many other colours, both in Sierra and Fluffy.
Enjoy!

METHOD
The garment is worked flat and is made up of the back, 1/2 front right, 1/2 front left, and two sleeves.
Firstly, combine the Sierra yarn col. Rust in two threads with the Fluffy yarn col. Orchid also two threads. With needles n° 8 EU / 11 US cast on 47 stitches and work 1/1 rib for 10 rows.
Change needles to n° 9 EU / 13 US and knit in garter stitch.
For each colour, 8 rows are knitted (4 ridges in garter stitch) , following the sequence of colours to obtain the blended effect:
-Sierra yarn col. Rust 2 threads + 2 threads of Fluffy col. Orchid
-Sierra yarn col. Rust with 1 thread + 1 thread of Sierra col. Saffron + 1 thread of Fluffy col. Orchid and 1 thread of Fluffy col. Honey
-Sierra yarn col. 2 threads saffron + 2 threads of Fluffy col. Honey
-Sierra yarn col. 1 threads of saffron + 1 thread of Sierra col. Amber + 1 thread of Fluffy col. Honey and 1 thread of Fluffy col. Almond
-Sierra yarn col. 2 threads Amber + 2 threads of Fluffy col. Natural White
-Sierra yarn col. 1 thread amber + 1 thread of Fluffy col. Natural White.
Once you have reached the end of the sequence, continue knitting with 2 threads of Sierra col. Milk and 2 threads of Fluffy col. Natural White, for 36 rows (18 ridges). Close the loose stitches.
The two parts of the cardigan, i.e. the left and the right, are knitted separately and in a mirrored way.
No decreases are made for the sleeve hole.
The colour sequence is the same as used for the back.
Cast on 26 stitches and knit the first 5 stitches for all rows, then knit 1 stitch, on the right side and purl 1 stitch on the wrong side of the piece.
Continue knitting for all 10 rows of the rib.
Change the number of rows and continue with the same process for the entire front.
Now simply repeat the same process for the other part of the front.
Close stitches.
The sleeves are knitted with 1/1 rib stitch.
Use 2 threads of Sierra col. Rust combined with 2 threads of Fluffy col. Orchid, work in rib 1/1 for 10 rows with needles n° 8 EU / 11 US.
Change needles and set out the work by effectuating 12 increases during the first row, taking the transversal thread. Knit the raspberry stitch following diagram.
Knit 1 selvedge stitch, purl 2, knit 1, purl 2, increase 1 stitch every 3 stitches, then 1 stitch every 4 stitches.
At the end of the row, you will have 38 stitches and must to knit in raspberry stitch, keeping in mind the blend of the colours.
You must keep in mind that the raspberry stitch is a multiple of 6+5+2 stitches, including the 2 selvedge stitches.
The raspberry stitch must be closed every 6 rounds, therefore from the right side of the work close the raspberry as follows: 5 stitches worked together straight twisted.
To knit straight twisted, stitches are taken from the back.
In this way a new raspberry will be consecutively created.
When you have knitted all the coloured raspberries, carry out two rows of white raspberries. For a total of 52 rounds.
Close stitches.
Begin sewing the shoulders, being careful to match the two right sides.
Sew the sides, the sleeves.
Tip: for the sewing done on the right side of the work, taking a right knot and a left knot, hide the various threads between the wefts of the woven stitch.
