The color Baby. That delicate shade of pink that opens many windows in my imagination. Babygirl ribbons, hand-knitted little shoes for newborn girls, soft, twisted marshmallows, the first nail polish the I used as a young girl, the pinwheels that spin like crazy when the wind blows fast, the tutus on miniature ballerinas, and the lightly rose-colored cheeks of Botticelli's languid, immortal Venus. And also those pink English roses, so fragrant and full of petals, that happily dwell in my garden next to an herb bush.

Almost all of these elements tell stories of childhood. Of babies. And here at DHG we know a thing or two about babies, because our little crowd now counts seven young ones: Pietro, Tommaso, Martina, Giuseppe and Leonardo. Allegra and Livia are our latest additions. Little ones who are part of the team, since they gladly visit us here at our headquarters, make drawings for us, look at their parents busy with work, and give us large, six-toothed smiles! Sometimes they even follow us when we travel, and it's great to have them with us. There is no energy that is as powerful as that which babies give you when they are around. A kind of vitality that we as grown-ups sometimes lack, and that children pass on to us without us, or them, realizing it. They are part of the engine that propels our enterprise, which drives us to do better and accomplish great results, because when we do well at our jobs we are happier, so our families are happier too.
The color Baby was designed with all of this in mind. It's a shade which tells you about family, about childhood memories, about playing outside. About new lives being born but also about parents and grandparents, uncles, aunts and friends who are born together with those babies. Because when a new baby comes into this world, all the people who are around him or her are born, too, with all the joy and effort that entails.
That is why I wish you all lots of Baby in your lives. Every now and then, let's try to find, rediscover and put to use that fresh vitality that children always have on their candid, kissable faces.
