Today, we’re sharing the pattern for a lacy scarf crocheted with God Save the Cashmere yarn. This scarf is worked from one point to the other, starting with increases and finishing with decreases. The result is a very modern lace pattern, featuring exotic geometric shapes. The little bobbles along the edge add a cute touch.

Rows 16 to 21 set up the lacy pattern with increases. Repeat these rows 11 more times until row 87. When following the sequence of rows with progressive increases, keep in mind that the groups of 3 double crochets are always vertically aligned and paired 2 by 2 with 1 double crochet worked in the horizontal base single crochet. Note that between each 3 chain stitch arch and the next, you alternate – both vertically and horizontally – between 1 single crochet worked in the space between 2 groups of 3 double crochets and 1 cluster worked in the double crochet.
Upon reaching row 87, you are halfway through the scarf. Now, continue symmetrically, meaning repeat rows 16 to 21 for the pattern setup but do not perform the increase at the end of each row 21 repeat. At the same time, decrease 1 motif on the same side as the previous increases in the second row after the last increase and continue to decrease every 6 rows until you reach row 172 with 10 double crochets: to decrease 1 motif, at the start of the row work 3 chain stitches closed together with the stitch following the first complete motif, which will be skipped. Continue in double crochet for 4 rows; at the same time, decrease on the same side as the previous decreases 2 stitches in the first 2 rows and 1 stitch in the last 2 rows, reaching row 176 with 4 double crochets: to decrease 2 stitches work 3 double crochets closed together, and to decrease 1 stitch work 2 double crochets closed together. In the following row, work 4 double crochets closed together, then finish the work.
Work an edge along the slanted sides of the scarf. Join the yarn at the lower tip (the start of the work) and proceed as follows:
