The vest is one of those garments that always add character to an outfit, and there are so many types that finding the right one for a specific combination is easy. Today you will learn how to knit a melange‑effect vest that you can wear even with just a simple white shirt and jeans to create an outfit that is incredibly refined in its simplicity. This is thanks to Hygge, an alpaca and Tencel bouclé yarn reminiscent of Astrakhan fur, and to the choice of combining two Hygge colours to obtain a salt‑and‑pepper effect similar to melange fabrics. This way, even a plain stockinette‑stitch vest becomes something unique.
Have fun pairing your favourite colours or recreate exactly the vest we suggest here.
Happy vest‑knitting!
