We work off a number of base stitches in multiples of 3+1.
Row 1 we knit from the wrong side: Purl all stitches
row 2: Knit all stitches
row 3: 1 slip stitch purl wise, *knit 2, 1 slip stitch purl wise*, always repeat from * to *.
To execute 1 slip stitch purl wise: Insert the needle into the back of the stitch without knitting it, leaving the yarn in front
Row 4: Repeat from row 2.

Repeat from * to * for the whole row and finish with the stitch following the second *.
