Here at DHG, we love to lend our experience to our customers and partners. These collaborations in creating new products together demonstrate a strength of unity in which we believe.
To that point, for years
we have been producing the very popular and inimitable blends created by, and on behalf of, Sarafina Fiber Art, an expert and trusted American fiber art source for products and instruction.
Furthermore, both DHG and Sarafina are happy for DHG to
offer distribution of these products throughout Europe.
If you live in Europe, you can purchase these fine fiber blends directly from us without having to worry about long distance import complications from the USA, saving you time and money. Without these products traveling the Atlantic, the environment will thank you as do we!

Description
Our FUR line is created thanks to the study and research of Sarafina Fiber Artist using long staple, smooth fibers, formulated to resist felting from handling, to give your sculpture the brushable look of a fur coat. Made with blends of mohair, alpaca, silk, and more, FUR will have a slight variation in color and texture throughout the roving with an approximate 4-6" staple length.

Techniques
FUR is applied to your sculpture using the fur or shingling techniques with a wool staple or addition. The colors can be further blended for an infinite array of animal colors. On smaller sculptures, you can cut FUR in half to utilize as much as possible. FUR resists felting so must be used in combination with wool in the wet felting process.
FUR is also a wonderful texture and shine addition to your wet felting, behaving much like silk, so we suggest you to add merino wool to felt it more easily. It is also perfect for spinning and hand weaving.
